suninet down

Post by raider2k »

Just wanted to let you know that a friend of mine did a "backup" of http://www.suninet.org/tclguide/ since suninet was down for weeks now. he told me to use that page for learning tcl but since it was down I wasnt able to learn

So I talked to the friend of mine again and he told me to wait a few days because he tries to get a suninet backup online. Today he told me the link for it and as I was always crawling this site and forum here I thought I should share this link for you http://suninet.the-demon.de

and if someone knows the original suninet owner, please someone tell him to send me a message here on this board. But I dont know if he is even interested in keeping his tclguide site up since the last updated was in 2002 from what I have seen.

Have a happy new year and a nice day
Hope I could help you guys out a little bit
And sorry for my bad english

Should still be available via google cache or perhaps archive.org. Check google for other mirrors as well.

thanks for your reply rosc2112. I have already used google to find eventually possible mirrors which wasnt much of a help. So I asked one of my friends who is good at coding (dont know if one also says to code a webpage ^^ ) and he told me he is going to fix this one so we have a mirror.

page is available at archive.org but some kind of incomplete. there are a few archives of that webpage but almost every of it is incomplete - its like for point 1 and 2 use archive from july 2005 and for point 3 and 4 use archive from jan 2006, u know? very weird ^^

But hope you guys are still going to enjoy this one :)

SUNiNET

Temporary page...

Well today I noticed that my site was gone ... Turns out something went wrong with the payment for my hosting and because the provider had an old e-mail address listed that I don't check anymore I did not receive the warning notices regarding the cancellation of the hosting if the payment issue was not resolved. *grmbl*

Anyways this means that all the account was terminated and all data automatically erased from their servers. That is annoying however I should have a backup on my computer were it not that I am on vacation at the moment and unable to access my backup from here.

So for now the site will be down, but once I get home it'll be restored which should be around January 5th.

Sorry :(

Regards,

SunMar.
