Is there any way to config the bot to join a channel with a key on startup?

it would have worked, but now I'm getting this message:
Due to security concerns, only permanent owners can set these modes.
What do I have to do to fix that?

What has the `nirva got to do with anything.
He only need to put it once, and it should be his handle.
Replies like that, where things look out of place, for zero reason, usualy lean towards some1 trying to exploit a user.

Your nick on irc has nothing to do with the owner, as long as the hostmask still matches. The owner nicks listed are the botnet usernames, not irc nicks. But yeah, make sure you are perm owner and .restart the bot. May I ask, are you the only owner? Can other owners set this?

I'm the only owner listed in the config file, but I have one of my friend set as owner of the bot. I don't know if he can set the same settings or not, I would tend to think so though. Then again all I really use are the basics and should be considered a newbie

Hmm... this is true, thx for clearing that up. Actually though i thought he might be using the same handle on the bot as his nick as to avoid any trouble
