Config file editor

Post by Ed »

Hello everyone. I recently downloaded Windrop. After opening the config file to edit..it looks like a long long letter in a small hard to read font with lots of little boxes before the hash signs. I was opening with notepad..and have been editing and organizing for days now. Is there a better way to organize a config file for editing I wonder or did I just find a bum config? I'm worried I will edit something out by mistake.

Really sorry if this posts twice..but just noticed I need to have a subject in order to post a message.

Try using wordpad, as it handles *nix-style newlines far better. Just remember to save as plaintext rather than RTF or such.

Thanks so very much NML_375, #eggdrop@IrcNET :-) Wordpad has done the trick. The hours I did spend sorting though..did deplete some of the learning curve...so wasn't all a loss. Thanks again for your quick reply.
