My IP changed and now I can not dcc chat the bot. Doing /msg <bot> ident password doesn't work (must have commented the lines in the config). What is the best way I can get back into my bot. Right now I can't even SSH into my provider cause they have not updated their firewall for my IP.
Kill the bot and manually edit (pico) the .user file (deleting .user~bak) OR simply delete both .user files and restart (restarting the greet process).

If you are the only person as owner of that bot, the simple answer is no, you must delete the files. Otherwise, have the other owner login and add your hostmask. Only an owner is allowed to add hostmasks to another owner. Perhaps you now see the wisdom in keeping trusted friends as co-owners of your bot?
If you are able to login to delete your userfiles now, you must also be able to login to edit your config file.... So, edit your config file, uncomment the ident section, and kill and restart your bot, connect to irc, and ident with your bot.
