Eggdrop not connecting.

Post by BigBen »

Hi,

I was installing eggdrop to my VPS server. I have everything in the eggdrop.conf fixed up. Now when I type ./eggdrop -m eggdrop.conf it says its connecting, but I do not see the bot connecting in my status window on mirc.

What is the command to Telnet to the bot in SSH? I never used it before.

telnet <host> <port>
Usually, <host> is the hostname/IP you specify in the my-hostname/my-ip settings (in your eggdrop.conf) and <port> is also specified in your eggdrop.conf (i.e. listen <port> all). Since you still do not have a handle on the bot, you can login as NEW the first time you enter the bot's console.
