Disconnects and Messages

Post by evildude »

I have 2 questions regarding eggdrop. I'm running 1.6.19 and have a botnet of a total of 205 bots. They are made up of 2 separate hubs with about 75 in one net and about 130 in another and the two are manually linked through the hubs. My first question is I see every once in a while a bot will disconnect from the hub and then reconnect. There seems to be no common factor about this because it's usually but not always a different bot and sometimes 2 at a time. The disconnect only lasts for less than a minute and the disconnects are very random. I tried to figure out why this is happening but have come up empty. It's really not a big deal at all, just an annoyance to my anal mind. Anybody have any ideas on this?

The other issue I have is I am also responsible for running another botnet that I setup for another friend and while I'm in dcc chat I can see if anybody sends a message to any bot, it echos to the hub bot. I like this feature but I don't know how I managed to enable this. I have not been able to reproduce this on any of my other botnets and I would love to get this figured out as I find it very handy. Any ideas?

All of these botnets that I'm talking about are made up of the standard eggdrop 1.6.19 with (of course) the wonderful netbots scripts. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
