Hi,
I downloaded this into my scripts folder on my shell. I added the tcl to the bottom of my config file. I ran the bot and it worked like a dream. Then, I had to rehash my bot and it now wont remember anybody. All it can do is tell someone if they themselves are in a room 'go look in the mirror'. If somone else does !seen nick it says 'I dont remember seeing nick', even if they are in the room at the time.
I have taken the tcl off the conf and then rehashed and even deleted the botnick.bak and botnick files and tried to make it start from nothing again. It makes those files again, but still will not remember anything.
Like I say, it worked the VERY first time I loaded it and then on the next .rehash it just stopped. The log directory is set to "" and it does make those files, but since that rehash it will not save the information, but it does say that it's backing it up. I can't work out what's wrong.
Can someone please help me - I'm desperate!
Thanks
Tanza
Hi,
Well, I have .died it and, while the bot has been dead, I have removed the files the tar.gz file put in the scripts folder (where I wgetted it to). ie bseen1.4.2.tcl, bseen_updater1.4.2.tcl and the readme file. I then took away the bs_data.botnick and bs_data.botnick.bak files from the eggdrop folder. Then I unzipped again and /eggdrop botnick.conf again. Still nothing.
However, when I look into the bs_data.botnick files that are then created again, they show only my details and my bot's details.
It will find matches for my host and say it knows us both and to look in the mirror or stop wasting time.
It will also tell anybody who does a !seen on themselves that they are to look in the mirror, but if anyone else does a !seen on that person, it just says.. sorry I dont remember seeing....
This is all it does, but it's very frustrating, because it was working exactly how it should be before that rehash. It doesn't matter what I do and believe me, I am trying as we speak!
I hope I can find out what's wrong with it.
Thanks
Tanza
