Hi,
i am a bit confused...i hope someone will help me
i just upgraded eggdrop1.6.10 to 1.6.12 exactly using a help from http://www.egghelp.org/faq.htm.. but i can still see in my bot dir old n new eggdrop-1.6.10* and the new one eggdrop-1.6.12* and also old modules-1.6.10/ and new one modules-1.6.12/?? i thought after upgrading, 1.6.10 will get replace with 1.6.12??

The modules directory and the eggdrop executable are symbolic links (A little (only a little) like windows shortcuts), tot he real things, which are named after the version of eggdrop you are using.

Once you have sucesfully moved to the new eggdrop, you can delete the old files.

Using

"rm -f modules-1.6.10"
"rm eggdrop-1.6.10"

Thank you so much for your help actually
rm -f modules-1.6.10 didn't work, it says its a directory
so i have used

rm -rf eggdrop-1.6.10?? is that ok..or

Yup - forgot the recursive -r.

Maybe this ought to be looked into, to give the user the option to remove them automatiacly on install of a new bot, as the only waste space.
