Hello Peopz
I was installing the newest version of Eggdrop. If i start the bot, the Server give me that error:
Eggdrop v1.6.20 (C) 1997 Robey Pointer (C) 2010 Eggheads
[00:32:05] --- Loading eggdrop v1.6.20 (Sun Jan 23 2011)
[00:32:05] * Hostname self-lookup failed. Please set 'my-ip' in the config file.
But in my config file isn't my-ip Active. I found here a other Post with this Problem, but this user had ircstats or some thing.
Here is my Config File:

Just set my-ip to your host's IP
Example: set my-ip "192.34.86.21"

remove the "#" in front of the set my-ip and give it a try.
i had the same problem once or twice and it started when the set my-ip line was the first line in the config file.
example:
set-my-ip "192.168.0.10"
