Anyone got a clue on how to get the current logfile, complete with path and stuff?

One method is to make a small change to your config file.
Change the log file directory to a fully qualified path, rather than just a dir and filename.
This will allow your current setup to work without any directory changes, and your script to get information regarding the logfiles in use.
