I`ve edit the config, so that i have all entries for a specific channel two times, one for each channel.
When i start the eggdrop, he joins both channels. But whenever i i am on the partyline, he only notices when changing the mode in one channel. He never reports anything abaout the second channel.
I added all files for the second channel that i have for the first one. Is it still neccessary to add the channel manually per .console? I just testet a spam-prot-script. This only works in my primary chan and not in the second one! Will this also work if i change .console to the second chan?
The console is only single channel based. IE, you can only view one channel at a time.
The idea of the console is to view log messages, sent to the channel specified in your console, and destined to the flags you have set.
A spam script is likely not to be affected by what channel you have set in your console, as it would serve no purpose.
You should read all files and documentation that comes wiht the script, to see if there is anything that needs to be done, to make it work in more than one channel at a time, if at all.
Back when I first started using eggdrop (when was that, Ican't remember - I'm still a pup to eggy as well), I had a need to see all channels. However, once I had changed my console from * to a channel, there was bug preventing it from changing back to *.
If I remember rightly. I did not have access to the console command, thus I had to ask a master to change the console for me. When a master changed thr console to *, it would say invalid channel.
