Sorry to post here but i have a question about this matter


Do i have to open ports in routers so that i can dcc chat ctcp chat or telnet my bot if it is in my home PC???

Generally, yes (assuming your router is using NAT - "IP Masquerading").

If both you and your eggdrop are behind the same router, there might be other issues preventing dcc chat from working regardless of any port forwardings. In that case, your best choice would be to connect to your bot using a telnet application - you'll access the very same interface as you'd do using dcc chat.
