STARTING BOT IN USERFILE CREATION MODE.
Telnet to the bot and enter 'NEW' as your nickname.
OR go to IRC and type: /msg 4:20 hello
This will make the bot recognize you as the master.
[01:29:14] === 4:20: 1 channels, 0 users.
* Warning! Could not write pid.4:20 file!
Launched into the background (pid: 22918)
It might be the ":" in your filename(s) that's causing trouble, it depends on the underlying filesystem. Does it work if you change it? As far as I know there's no IRC network that allows ":" in nicknames anyway... You could explicitely change the names for the pidfile/chanfile/userfile if you really want 4:20 to be the (botnet-)nick.
