ban-time

Post by seanatis »

I have ban-time 15 and I have a lot of bans in my bot's list because of all the drones running around. Now my question is that the bot does not remove the bans he sets after 15 minutes. Is there anyhing else I am looking over here?

Thanks,

Sean

then channel has the mode dynamic "off"
this keeps the bans active even when its bantime over

dynamicbans

Only activate bans on the channel when necessary? This keeps
the channel's ban list from getting excessively long. The bot
still remembers every ban, but it only activates a ban on the
channel when it sees someone join who matches that ban.

.chanset #channel +dynamicbans, will do the job
What's this real life ppl keep talking about ??? And where can I download it ???

you should seriously consider memorizing the information contained in your bot (.help chaninfo, or in the eggdrop command reference. If you are a bot owner, you truly should read your config file

Heh do you get that Deja Vous feeling a lot ? Mebbe we should write a mod for PHPBB with a list of auto responses to questions asked over and over again because the muppets never seem to read the FAQ or check it out for themselves ;)
The lifecycle of a noob is complex. Fledgling noobs gestate inside biometric pods. Once a budding noob has matured thru gestation they climb out of their pod, sit down at a PC, ask a bunch of questions that are clearly in the FAQ, The Noob is born
