too many channels

Post by acil »

hello,
im new to eggdrop, thus read all the readme and googled a long time to solve my problem. but i can t find a solution:
my bot says me: "I'm on too many channels--can't join: #channel11", when i try to let it enter the 11th channel.
my suggestion is, that 10 is the maximum number of channels the bot can handle. is that true???
or is it some other kind of problem??? problably memory insufficiency? (got an old pentium 90 with 32 mb ram to run the bot)

or is eggdrop designed to handle just one channel, so i have to run more eggdrop bots for more channels?? but i cant believe that.

so my second question ist. what ist the recomended minimum hardware (cpu ram)???

thx
bastian

i don't think eggdrop has a maximum channel limit encoded in it. I'm apt to believe it is your server/network that is setting the limit

Networks limit the number of channels a user may enter. This is not an eggdrop problem!
