Just an FYI before yesterday I had never touched unix/linux, had only heard of shell accounts, and two days ago I had never used IRC before in my life. Today I have a shell account, an eggdrop (somewhat functioning), and it is joining my room (which is a major leap for me cause I cursed it for many hours).
Ok now that you have my back ground I will give as much info as possible. I cant get my bot to respont to the private message hello or anything. Here is what I know:
*I type /msg MyBotName hello
*I can see the message being deliverd using the telnet interface
*Nothing happens!

Nope no iggys here. I am going crazy, it seams that the only place that you can actually communicate with the bot in any way is thru telnet. <scratches head>
