Automatic starting of a procedure

Post by julesdw »

Gurus,

When my Eggbot joins a channel I would like it to automatically start a broadcast/advertising procedure. This proc will just post some text to the channel every 30 minutes or so.

I've tried to get this to run but I don't seem to be able get it to run.

I can, of course, to a "bind pub" etc, but that requires manual intervention to start the proceedure.

Ideas?

Thanks,
Jules...

try using binding to join
eggdrop documentation wrote:JOIN (stackable)

bind join <flags> <mask> <proc>
procname <nick> <user@host> <handle> <channel>

Description: triggered by someone joining the channel. The mask in the bind is matched against "#channel nick!user@host" and can contain wildcards.
