when i write .save in telnet it sais the following:
Saving user file
Error writing user file
anyones knows why.. ;D
my installation of eggdrop is a little odd compare to my friends and others... I got not as many files as they do... I`ve downloaded it as an .rpm thats why.. do i miss like a .user file or something

Where did you download it as a RPM?
As for the problem, unless we can understand the installation itself, we can't help.
Only normal eggdrop installations are supported here.

eggdrop1.x.x.RPM is in redhat and mandrake distributions I think.

check your directory permissions, file permissions of the userfile if it alredy exists, free disk space and avaliable disk quota (user and group)
