ssl problem

hello,

i got a problem. i patched my eggdrop source (1.6.18) with the ssl patch like it says here: http://remus.oru.se/tsub/eggdrop-ssl/
so i did add the "set use-ssl 1" and everything, but it still wont connect, it always says:

[17:34] === nick: 1 channels, 0 users.
[17:34] main: entering loop
[17:34] Trying server irc.server.net:2424
[17:34] DNS resolved irc.server.org to IP
[17:34] net: connect! sock 8
[17:34] Connected to irc.server.net
[17:34] net: eof!(write) socket 8 (Connection refused,111)
[17:34] Disconnected from irc.server.net

and thats it.

any ideas?

Maybe your router's firewall, or your web hosts firewall is blocking the connection... :?:

i dont think so as the firewall was turned off when i tested it and as the other (non ssl onces) eggdrops can connect/run fine :(
