botnetsop - bots not opping each other

I have the following settings and I linked my bots to each other. When I do .bots it shows all bots as part of the botnet
Still the bots are not opping each other. Why ?

# botnetop.tcl settings
set nb_component(botnetop) 1
set bop_delay 25
set bop_maxreq 3
set bop_modeop 1
set bop_linkop 1
set bop_icheck 0
set bop_hcheck 1
set bop_osync 0
set bop_addhost 0
set bop_log 0

I did .channel #mychannel and the bot's handle was a *
I updated the hosts for that bot and I think it will work.
I'll keep u posted if anything new comes up.
