The core.spanish is for version 1.6.6 and I get errors in some lines when I load it with other versions.

AH, now your making sence.
If the language pack is provided seperatly from the eggdrop, it is usualy provided for a specific version of eggdrop.
Those provided with eggdrop, are for the current version.
So you will have to either remain with eggdrop 1.6.6 or wait until the lang file is updated.
