I set up my IRC client as follows:
mIRC / Options / Local
On connet, always get:
I selected IP address
Lookup method:
I selected Normal
Host name:
xx.ip-xxx-xxx-xx.eu (ZNC host)
IP address:
xxx.xxx.xx.xx (ZNC my address)
mIRC / Options / Ports
Port range:
First port: 1024
Last port: 6000
I selected DCC Send, Get, and Chat connections
UPnP support:
I selected IP address, DCC and Identd server connections only.
In my eggdrop.conf configuration file:
# Telnet port
listen 3333 bots
listen 4444 users
If type on my VPS:
ps aux | grep -i eggdrop
returns:
3172 143104 juanamores62400.0 0.1 pts / 2S 12:56 0:00 ./eggdrop
juanamores 6252 0.0 0.0 112660 944 pts / 2 S 12:57 0:00 grep --color = au
Those numbers mean? one is the port of the bot?
Why I can get into the party line to /ctcp chat bot
and does not allow me to /dcc chat bot?
DCC invalid port: CHAT (juanamores!juan@my.servedr.host)
EDIT: another important info
If I do /whois mynick in IRC network
/whois juanamores
but, in party line:juanamores is actually juan@xx.ip-xxx-xxx-xx.eu [xxx.xx.xxx.xx] => Host and IP of my ZNC
It is this hybrid form of log on at home with ZNC not work with the bot.08:14 ? juanamores ¦ .whom
08:14 : mybot ¦ [08:14:42] #channelx# whom
08:14 : mybot ¦ Nick Bot Host
08:14 : mybot ¦ ---------- --------- --------------------
08:14 : mybot ¦ *juanamores BOT telnet@rxxx-xx-xx-xx.dialing.adsl.compay.net. => host ip and my phone company ( where I connect )
08:14 : mybot ¦ Total users: 1
The bot recognizes that I am connected from my home and the host IP and that I have on the IRC network is not the same .
