using shell commands

Post by fizzik »

hello, i have asked a question along these lines before, but this one is more directed. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a page or two that shows how to use shell commands to search and remove text from a database file. I have searched everywhere i can think and have found 1 page that sort of starts to get into it, i can see that it wouldy be very handy to use shell commands instead of tcl. I hope someone can help.

Cheers
