Am I thinking right? I feel really slowminded today.
On my bots I have revenge-mode 2 set in the conf file, and I can change the level through the .chanset comand.
I would now like to have revengebot set to 3, that means I need to add that to the conf.file right? As I have no line for revengebot there at all.
Is that line just written revengebot 3 in that case, or should that also be revengebot-mode 3 as the "ordinary" revenge is written like that in the conf.file, with "mode" I mean.
Or am I totally wrong here..
This is not somthing that is blindingly obvious int he config files, or documentation.
By simply changing the value with .chanset, this is will be the seting used from then on (make sure you use .save afterwards, to make sure).
If you want to change the default for new channels (added via .+chan and .netjoin (if using netbots)), then you will need to edit the config file, and locate the global revenge setting (do a little research,a dn look insite the more comlex config templates).
I'm afraid I'm still a little confused, can I have level 2 revenge for a user deoping another user, but level 3 if user deops a bot.. Or is the global revenge mode the same for both kinds of "abuse".
If I'm not wrong, is the same thing for both. You can get an tcl script with an revenge and set as you wish to do for bots and for users. have alook in the TCL Archive, and if you don't find something that pleases you then write one.
Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.
I am afraid not. The eggdrop revenge system is one item, and as such, when revenge is inflicted, regardless of +revengebot or +revenge, it will use the per channel revenge setting.
