!*! failed OP

Post by DariuZ »

Hi!
I got a major problem with the bot not taking my cmds from irc
I´m at the host of *!*@*.telia.com
and if i do a .tcl getuser DariuZ HOSTS
i get the response Tcl: *!*@*.telia.com
As you can c the host is set correctly... as far as i know anyway

and then i write /msg bot op DariuZ in channel
-> DariuZ!DariuZ@hfsajjsj15.telia.com) !*! failed OP (hfsajjsj15==made up)

and i just can´t c what im doin wrong here....

you need to pass it your password perhaps? (just a thought)...

the correct fromat is /msg bot op <password>

then its not recognising you.

The message indicates it has either failed to validate your password or you dont have a password. Your hostmask is way too lax for security btw, although it looks roughly right.

and another thing - if the bot matches the same hostmask as you (not difficult) then you are going to have trouble. There are a lot of people on Telia.com and you are matching every single one of them with your hostmask.

Im just using that mask now on a test channel to get the bot working right... I use a script named DeKuF also and i cant get the admin cmds work for the ftp by using the switch either cause the bots only says , command not found

Ok .. to reiterate.

This is an INBUILT command - not part of any script - any problems you are having with any other scripts are entirely another problem.

The bot does not recognise you. Or you havent set a password.

Have you set a password ?? (/msg botr pass <newpass>)

Have you sent the right password (/msg bot op <pass> <optional channel>) <-----NOTE NO NICK HERE.

can you get on the partyline? if so what does .channel <channel> say about your flags? (when you are in the channel..)

what does .match <yourhand> on the partyline tell you?

A little more info is required...[/b]

;) thx the cmds to the bot from channel works now

but now to the problem with the DeKuF script
guess it´s really hard to say why it wont find the cmds

So if you don´t know what can be wrong there i wonder if there´s another script that can be connected to my ftp and give cmds that might work better and what FTPserver to use... i know use RaidenFTPD(as the DeKuF is for)

Ok .. lets start again.

The errors you say are chucked out (when you do a public ftp command) - where are they reported? And what exactly do they say Is this script in the archive btw?

ok, here is the deal.....

if i do !FTP NUKE /Uploads/test 3 X

this line shows up in partyline
Nick: test UHost: test@*.telia.com Handle: DariuZ Channel: #test Command: NUKE

in the channel, my bot replies to me
Command not found, please use !FTP help to view avaliable commands.

and i do that but only get the normal users cmds listed ..ofcourse
but i know that the trigger should work........................ (read hope so) heh

would be really strange if you have to give the cmds from the partyline, cause then you would have to have the telnet connection open and that can`t be a secure thing at all..................

well any help is welcome .. ;)
