anti idle suggestion

Post by nutbuckle »

Would it be possible to have all the bots on the botnet join a random channel, then all send their messages to that channel.. then say have them change channels once every X hours?

That would definitely take anti-idle to the next level. But what is the reason for it?

Well, just seems to make sence. I mean you could just .netjoin #<insert random channel here> then +nti that channel.. and set that channel in the netset.tcl.. its what I'm currently doing.. but I think it would be much more efficent if they would randomly change things. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Quite the contrary actually. Having the bots join a random channel every so often would in effect do the same exact thing, but use a little more bw and cpu load, and also require a bit of code that really isn't needed. On a network that is that strict about bots I could see this usefull (actively hunting bots or something similar), but most networks leave most bots alone as long as they don't bother anyone.
