We won't e-mail any comments directly too you. All comments made here, are public knowledge, and are made available, so that other users may find an answer.

The reason this is happening, could be one of many.

Scripts, +revenge, +revengebot, +bitch.

Somthing I will note, +OM is different to +om. +OM has no powers, unless a script is providing them.

The most sensible way to keep things sane, is to think before you act with eggdrop. The idea behind it is channel protection. Channel protection, is the act of maintaining, protecting and reversing problems automaticaly, when they arise.

While eggdrop is very good at this, some scripts are not so good, or too all too well at there job. Other reasons are, while it's not a nice way to put it, incorect configuration or user error.

Eggdrop could well be acting, exactly how you have asked it to, most likely, not exempting people/bots because you have failed to do somthing.

While eggdrop is very good at doing it's job automaticaly, this job is only the tip. The act of active protection, eggdrop will do, it can't however, predeict user thoughts, by maintaining it's own user database, by adding removing, and maintaining hostmaks and flags, as you want them. This would infact be silly to think about.

It is up to you as a user, to make sure, that all people that should be protected from protection, are so. This may be by setting them with the +f flag, or simply by making sure they are recognised by the bot. With scripts, it may be that you have to change a setting, to a flag that will protect them.

After all this, you must make sure that the hostymasks for each user, are maintained in a strong (Secure) fasion, and are kept up to date, so that users are recognised correctly.
