After reading about the windows-based eggdrop, I downloaded it and tried to set it up.
After debugging the config file, it ran properly and seemingly booted, but then this message appeared in the command prompt....
[07:47] * CAN'T WRITE TO TEMP DIR
Anyone know how to get past this?

I'm not an expert with windrops but iirc the temp dir is set in the conf file. presumably you have set it to a dir that doesnt exist.
[EDIT] search for temp-path in your .conf

Or make a tmp/ dir.
Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.

leave the path for the tmp dir in the conf as it is and just create a tmp dir in the eggdrop dir.
