well, whenever i start eggrop (its on a linux box) i get this errormessage.. ive tried some things but nothing seems to help. anyone knows whats wrong? before my egg never gave me any problems, its just all of a sudden now... TIA

if it makes you feel any better, windrops tend to get these when the network buffer in windows gets a bit congested, or an error has occured in the tcpip thingymagig
(Used to get these a bit, reboot worked for me)

This is by a failure to set the my-ip and my-hostname values.

are u sure about that? because like i said: the eggdrop was runnin fine at first, but while nothing has changed it wont work anymore....
but ill give it a try anyway, since its one of the things i havent tried yet..
