Problems with userfile-sharing

Post by ProXy »

Hello,

I am running the latest CVS version of eggdrop, and I want to link them. I setup everything like written under "enhanced", the flags are fine, all eggdrops are set with +shared, but whenever they want to share the userfile the leaf bot responds this:

Code: Select all

[Saturday, 12.07.2003 - 11:54:58] <For|You> [11:55] Received challenge from HTP... sending response ...
[Saturday, 12.07.2003 - 11:54:58] <For|You> [11:55] Linked to HTP.
[Saturday, 12.07.2003 - 11:54:58] <For|You> *** Linked to HTP
[Saturday, 12.07.2003 - 11:54:58] <For|You> [11:55] Downloading user file from HTP
[Saturday, 12.07.2003 - 11:54:59] <For|You> [11:55] Failed connection; aborted userfile transfer.
[Saturday, 12.07.2003 - 11:55:38] <For|You> [11:55] Disconnected from: HTP. No reason (lost 1 bot and 0 users)
[Saturday, 12.07.2003 - 11:55:39] <For|You> *** Disconnected from: HTP. No reason (lost 1 bot and 0 users)
I allready aked for some help on the quakenet, anyone supposted, that a firewall would block the file transfer, but there is actually no firewall. Both eggdrops are running on the same host, the hub with bot port 3002, the leaf with bot port 3004.

Could anyone guess, why the eggdrop cannot share the userfiles?

Do a flags check, see if the share and transfer are loaded and working fine. Also, see/increase the timeout of the tansfer from the .conf file, and see what other coments are in the .conf file about this share and transfer thing.
Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.

The problem was another thing: I dind`t user set hostname, and even both run on the same IP they didn`t know which Hostname they should use. After setting up the hostname all worked fine.
