Eggdrop Will Not Accept Password

I am running an Eggdrop/Windrop running on Windows XP Professional.

Everything works fine on the 1st time installation, but after I have logged out of dcc-chat, thats when things get a bit funny.

I know that my password works on my first time, but subsequent tries on connecting to the bot via dcc-chat failed with the message that my password is incorrect.

What is going on? I am using the default blowfish encryption, which I assume is the only encryption available for eggdrop.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Are you the only user in the bots userlist?
If not, check if there is an other user with a matching ident@hostmask.
I had that once with 2 users who unfortunally used the same idend and both had the same isp. I had added them with *!ident@*bla.com.

There are only 4 users and none of them have the same hostmask as mine, so I don't think that was the problem.

Could there be some other problem?

make sure you .SAVE before leaving the partyline
and remember your handle (may be different then the nick)
