change botnick's nick that is part of botnet

Hi, I have a botnet that consists of 2 botnicks. I want to change the nick it shows on the channel for one of them. What will I have to change as well after changing the nick in the .conf file to make everything work like before? Thanks.

For a permanent change edit the .conf file and modify the set nick variable then do a .rehash; for a temporary one (if keep-nick is set to 0) do .dump nick OtherNick (replace OtherNick with what you want).

Botnick is the nick of the bot on irc not the nick he/she is known as bye the other bots in the botnet. So what exactly do you want to change? It's nick on irc or it's name on botnet? Be more specific.

so, it's the nick on IRC

Also, what is the nick he/she is known as by the other bots in the botnet called? I always thought it was called a botnick.

One is "nick" and the other is "botnet-nick"
