net: errors when trying to connect 2 any server

I have tried diff networks,diff servers,diff irc ports,even many diff eggdrop version and can't seem 2 get it 2 work. It always returns this message. i'm using red hat 9, can ne1 help.

[01:09] Trying server *****:6667
[01:09] net: connect! sock 7
[01:09] Connected to *****
[01:09] net: eof!(write) socket 7 (Connection refused,111)
[01:09] Disconnected from *****

just check out your network, it seems to be a bad configuration of you firewall.
And if you have multiple IP, check your "my-ip" variable.

hmmm theres no nat, only one nic card, i set the myip variable....still the same thing. ne ideas?

did you write the correct ip? is the computer connected directly to internet or through a lan?
