Bot Leaves

I need your help guys....my bot will stay in channel for a few days then leaves,it shows its still running in the back ground.how can i stop the bot from leaving and also how can i get the bot back in the channel without having to kill it and starting it all over again.

P.S. Would like to thank everyone who has helped me get all my problems solved.

.save, and when bot will fell down it will remember last time when you saved, and will come on saved chans...

Can you telnet to the bot? Does the bot actually leave (part/quit) the channel, or does it time out?
When did this start? Do you remember installing any new scripts before this happened?

what its telling me is failed to connect to server (dns lookup failed)any ideas on how to fix this problem

if its a unix comp.. edit /etc/resolv.conf and put a valid nameserver in it
if its a windrop ermm i think windrop comes with a resolv.conf of its own
this does not explain why your bot leaves the server to begin with tho.. the above advice is assuming you have real "resolvable" servers in your server list..
