make : permission denied

Hallo.
Actually i run 1.6.15 on a shell.
All works fine.
I've decided to update to 1.6.16 but the shell returning me
"make : permission denied"
For a test i have dl 1.6.14
and with this version the MAKE command work!!!!

Any idea ?

Had the same weird thing happen to me on a *BSD shell. I logged out and then back in and make worked like a charm. LOL

This could be of a compile error problem and restricted access on the shell by administrators.

You can always try.. unzipping the eggdrop1.6.16 file by using tar or gunzip which would unpack all the files in a folder named /eggdrop1.6.16, then you can rename that directory to /eggdrop1.6.15 hopefully and then login into that directory and proceed with ./configure, make and etc.

This is the way how I do it on most shells it works fine for me.

i used a make iconfig and this goes.
too many problems with this eggdrop version for me...
I wish to suggest a revision

Ya, you keep mentionning that. Try this (last resort)

chmod 755 Make*

i know i'm bit annoying with this story but i'm angry
beacouse after posting a debug i don't have received
an answer.

i know is not a right...but if i don't ask there....where can i do it ?

i've tried chmod 755 without result.
I don't know beacouse at least 1.6.15 all goes fine and with
1.6.16 i'm unable to use it

the only solution that works (for me) 99% is the make iconfig instead of make config when this give me 'permission denied'.
