even if noone here does, you should report the problem as directed ("Check doc/BUG-REPORT on how to do so")

If your using a windrop, the rssnews.tcl is causing the crashes.

It would appear your Windrop has problems when using the Google.tcl.

apparently so, but eggdrop should never crash on running tcl scripts, so this problem should be reported to eggdev team

I agree the problem should be reported.
Uri could also go
here and try yahoo.tcl which requires egghttp.tcl to be loaded first which, as an experiment, might just work.

Is there any more information you can give? Is there anything that consistantly happens before it crashes? Anything in the log files immediatly before the crash?

I don't know his case, but if my bot crashes in googl.tcl it is always when spezified search parameters are given (english alphabet). probably is the response from google the cause. I can give you 2 examples that crashs my bot 100% repeatable:
!google Nacktbilder von Ingerimm
-> no matchs
!google crack fssball manager 2005
-> 1 match, typo hint
The last entry in the party line is the "<<...>> !...! !google" line of the command causing the crash.

I doubt Wcc checks out these forums on a regular basis, you better email your bug report to eggheads

done... but I have feeling he is on holiday or something like that, no updates since 3 weeks and my last bug is still "NEW"
.
Last time they managed to freeze the bot instead of killing him... ^-^.

Code: Select all
wcc@techmonkeys.org changed:
What |Removed |Added
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Component|Core |core
Product|Eggdrop 1.7 |Eggdrop 1.6
Version|1.7.0 CVS |1.6.18 CVS
I was really stupid... LOL, I am running of course 1.6.18 and not 1.7.0, oh my, I so stupid @_o. Hey it was my second use of a bugzilla tracker
. But at least your are right, it has been already noticed
.
So stand by and post any new things to the bugzilla tracker so help them/us to find a solution:
