windrop won`t connect to the server and more

Post by Yourdoom »

i`ve got a couple of problems with windrop wich are all thanks to the same, i think

first i made the windrop config and everything and i started making a userfile with -m, windrop didn`t come on the server so i couldn`t mesage him so i telnetted him, that worked and he recognized me and everything.

then i tried restarting windrop becaus it still didn`t join, again it didn`t join and i telnetted him, it didn`t ask for my password and said it was incorrect.

i tried booting windrop with the -n command line and i saw it was kicking itself of the server becaus its nick was incorrect, i tried booting windrop and then joining, it didn`t ask for my pass and just kicked me

i`m running windows xp, latest version of windrop and tcl, my unreal server is unreal ircd 3.2 and i`m using mIRC 6.16 to join the server, i`ve editted the entire config,

please help!

Can you show us what you saw when this happened using the -n switch also what the bot says when it boots you off the partyline?

are you saving the userlist using .save before you kill the bots process? a little more information would be usefull if possible please.

I think this is an eggdrop board not a windrop board

Just go @ telnet and login.. if you cant, edit the userfile

DCC isnt very good.. I prefer still TELNET.

Eggdrop and Windrop are virtually identical aside from the platform that they run from.

You can also compile an eggdrop under a win32 enviroment if that is your wish.

So to say we wont help someone running a windrop is like me saying I wont help you because you use windows. Egg/WinDrops functionality is exactly the same.
