first off all, try to read de eggdrop.conf it have explanation to all.
Read a little more http://www.egghelp.org/setup.htm it will help you

You need to do as it says, edit the cofig file completely. And don't forget to comment or delete the lines that say
die "Please make sure you edit your config file completely."
