.status all dump?

Is there a way to have the info that is displayed sent to the printer when doing a .status all command in a eggdrop bot?

Well, that slightly depends. 1: The changes, and netupdate must be issued from the hub bot The nb_set command will only effect bots listed in the "botname" part of the command. Any other bot not listed will ignore it. Ok, I have it right then. The changes and netupdate were made with the ...

Tainted, the whole goal behind nb_set, is to get around netupdate colisions. IE, if the hub bot doesn't run chanlimit, then after netupdate, none of the others will either. The nb_set command/setting, is not that easy to understand. With the normal set command, you give it the setting name, and val...

It seems that I just can't get the nb_set command line in my head. I have 3 eggbots running, all linked and sharing. I am using the chanlimit componet in netbots. I know I don't need all 3 bots running the chanlimit componet, so how can I set it up so only one bot will run the chanlimit componet?

question

I just setup the netbots script and componets. Do I need to remove the old stand-alone scripts of getops.tcl, chanlimit.tcl that are in my scripts directory of my bots? Just want to make sure I'm doing this right.

This is one of two issues Your bot has placed you on ignore. The quickest method is to kill the bot, edit the userfile, and remove only the line stating the ignore then restart the bot (BACKUP THE USERFILE FIRST). Otherwise, the bot may no longer eecognise you, and as such, you may need to re ident...

Can anyone tell me why my eggdrop bots won't OP me in my channel. I am the owner of the bots and channel. I even tried "/msg botnick OP password" and that didn't work. This started after having several netsplits last night. Right now I can't DCC chat with my bots, it just hangs there not d...

Good rule of thumb is Dont add anyone unless they are right there to set a pass on the bots.
Ok, thats why it didn't work. I was using .+user. Thanks!

Ok, you have convinced me. I'll go back to the password routine. I was using it before, but it would never OP the OP's in my channel. I think the reason was because I never added the users hostmask to their user record in the bots. Thanks for all who replied.

why?

Ok, why is the auto-op flag bad? I have read several places where they say it is bad also, but they fail to go into detail about it. If you give them the +a flag with their hostmask, how can anyone duplicate it? I feel by using the password routine, you are giving the user a chance to mess around wi...

help!

I am a little confused on the OP'ing of users via my eggdrop bot. Right now I give my channel OPs flags "foa" and also add their hostmask. Is this a safe way to OP my users or should I have my OPs supply a password to the bot to OP them.

Sorry!

Sorry about that. well for starters, after a few net-splits I have to re-add the topic to me channel. I'm using mc.topic_resynch for the channel topic stuuf and chanlimit1.5 for the channel limit stuff. It seems that the net-splits make them brain dead..I have to keep rehashing afterwards.

Help!

I'm runing a botnet of 2 eggdrops, one is the hub and the other is the leaf. I also have a topic and chanlimit script running in the hub bot. My porblem is that, they stop working after a couple of netsplits. Is there some work around this.

Help!

I just installed the chanlimit script and have set it up to add 10 to whatever amount the channel has in at the time. I also have it set to run every 10 minutes. Problem is, when it comes up, it say (botnick L+10) and then right behind it , it pops up (botnick -L). The grace setting is 2. BTW, I'm r...
