I would quickly just say don`t use the resync buffer at all, remove the settings from your eggdrop.conf and reload her.

Did you just refer to an eggdrop as a he ?

Hrm... Nothing can be done by posting in here :P Without checking their irc channel, It seems to look like the server was offline while you were trying to FTP. Of course, there are other possible reasons; dns failed, ftp blocked, maybe it`s just on your side. I have used their shells many many years...

I say we have a section entirely devoted to the ctcp/dcc/telnet question !

Or like a huge bold blinking link, or maybe 10 popup windows everytime someone even thinks of "ctcp" or "dcc" or "telnet"

I had problems with the resync-buffer a few times, just remove it completely.
It's in the transfer mod (conf)

Wow, I've been around for many moons and didn`t know about these "bad words" in Eggdrop.

It's a good thing they were removed because, as a child at the time, I could of been exposed to bad things...

It does not recognize a "bot".
Make sure the set-botnick is the same as the .+bot botnick
You may have added .+bot nick (online nick) instead of what the conf has.

Also, lookover the ports for users/bots or all

It looks like he/she was able to get on the partyline with ./ctcp
But I'm not certain what he/she means with the eggdrop.conf line error?
