Have always used the complete.config here so I'm not familiar with simple.config. In the complete.config it is under

Well, you can't have it both ways. First off a user HAS to be added to have flags listed for them. As far as I know your 2 options are as follows: (and I'm sure if I'm incorrect, someone will point it out) 1. Add everyone you want to have +v as users and give them the right flag. 2. Set the bot to a...

Towards the top of the config file you will find the following: set my-hostname "your.funny.vhost.here" set my-ip "number that goes with IP here" (i.e. set my-ip "xx.xx.xxx.xxx") With most shell accounts, IN the shell you can type the command "vhosts" and it w...

Ok, this may be trivial but for some reason now when I visit the site I no longer get the 'dark' folder indicating new posts to a topic. This is kind of annoying as I now have to scan all the posts to see if there has been any new information posted that I may miss out on. I am trying to learn as mu...

I know it was possible back when I use to run a BNC through a shell, but the shell provider has to have a certain program installed (to which the name of the program escapes me at the moment). Maybe someeone else can provide the name of it.

Ok, I know to bind time for hourly is: bind time - "00 * * * *" proc and that: bind time - "* 1 * * *" proc would be at 1 on 24 hour format, but how would you set for it to be like an every 3 or 4 hour setting, or is this possible? Would it be bind time - "* 1,4,7,10 * * *&q...

What are your definitions as a 'bad' ident? Are these idents that you would manualy add to a list? If not how would the bot determine what a 'bad' ident is?

As I stated before, IN the channel the person is in (and you have to be oped to do this) type /ban IDENT@* The bots will then kick that person and if there are no bots just kick him yourself. Any particular reason you would kick/ban for saying hello??? <font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: DrT...

You pretty much answered your own question. You can set ban *!lamer@* on the party line OR in mIRC itself.
