Thanks for the helpful reply. I should get a job working for you and posting on boards as to who is qualified to have root on boxes. You seem to be quite the expert at it.

rpath?

I am trying to install an eggdrop on a linux server. The server has an old version of tcl installed and the host company told me to d/l it myself and export environment variables. That worked fine. The bot compiled fine until it got to "linking". Here is the error I received: ld: warning: ...

Problem solved.

The maker of sitestat told me to change the setting of the PASV to 0 in the ss-ftplib.tcl file.

Thanx for the reply...it helped me determine it was a script problem and not an eggdrop problem.

Since Sitestat no longer supports Raiden, would it help to install an old eggdrop version?

Lag problem worsens

When I start up my eggdrop, the announcing/dcc chats are extremely fast. However, after about 3 minutes from startup, the bot begins to lag. It gets as bad as 5 minutes lag and sometimes "improves" to 3 minutes. So I restart the bot and the exact same thing happens as I just described. How...

I figured it out...

My isp changes ip's every few weeks...and because both my systems were on 24/7, the ip's couldnt update.

All I did was release/renew ip's a few times and once new ip's were assigned, everything worked.

Thanks for your input tho...I appreciate it :)

My connection is this: 2 puters (1 XP, the other linux) adsl connection with 3com modem in my home. Both puters sharing same internet connection with a switch (not a hub) and each system has their own totally separate ip assigned by my isp. Neither ip is 127.0.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. Neither use NAT. My...

I cannot dcc chat or telnet the bot like I used to be able to. I tried deleting the user files and starting from scratch wit...

We have the eggdrop setup to announce on a ftp in an IRC channel. We have sitestat loaded into the eggdrop too.

So when there is activity on the ftp, the eggdrop announces it to the channel. Since the default text is white, we are looking to change that to a light blue or something similar.

I dont see where I can do this.

Currently, its displayed in white and Id like to make it a light blue.

Which files do I need to modify and where?

Thanx
