Eggdrop tilts in Quakenet

I'm using eggdrop in Quakenet and I can use it about few days and then it tilts.

If I use example command .op Nick #channel it says that: I'm not on that channel
Why?!

And bots stop oping each others?

It's probably those gay ircops there messing up your bot.

Quakenet is a heaven for pack0rs looking for idiot-gamers with proxies/wingates installed.
(The average CS gamer is an idiot on a decent connection, which is a very useful combination for some people)

Only difference from normal irc-servers is that on quakenet the ircops are the biggest packet-kiddies/fag0rs of them all..

Well, here is the piss for your bonfire.

It is doubtful this is caused by IRCop's. For 1 thing, the bot is on the network (IE, it's connected), so from my reconing, it is either caused by the bot not being on the channel, due to a ban, full limit, invite only or this is caused by a problem (which I have to admit, I think is there, due to the amount of posts on this issue), which is causing the bot to join a channel, but not do a thing once there.

If we wanna go lighting fires. Comments like this cause more hastle with IRCop's, so it's people like you that cuase them to act this way, and judging by your comments, you deserve all ya get off them.

From what I've heard, the ircd quakenet uses is broke in some way (ie, not RFC1459 complient)

Most likely.

If this is true, don't expect eggdrop to not tilt (as you call it, why?) any time soon.

Eggdrop is being designed and operated around the IRC RFC.

If I use command .status it says about channels like this: Channels: #Kompassi(trying), #naantali(trying), #clan-itm(trying), #priva-itm(trying)

Bot's joins to channels but they won't listen...

Only way to make bots working is to create them again!

As stated, we can't help!

If this is a NON-RFC following network, there is no help available. To get this fixed, you should contact the quakenet coders, and tell them they should follow RFC.

RFCs ("Request For Comments") are the documents which define the structure of the Internet; all Internet standards are RFCs, but most RFCs are informational (like the FYI, "For Your Information", tutorial series). There is also a tradition of special......

It basicaly defines how the IRC client (or bot) should talk to the server, and how the server should talk to the client. It also defines when & where, and also when commands shouldn't be used.

1459 was the original RFC on IRC, there is however, some updates to the spec (2810, 2811, 2812 & 2813).

As these are standards that all clients follow, if a server should not follow them, then a client is not expected to stray from the RFC, just to work on that server.
