I connect to the internet through a Netgear RT314 (router) which is connected to my ADSL modem.
I have two computers accessing the internet through this router:
Workstation [Win XP SP1] with internal IP: 192.168.10.2
Server [Win 2K Pro SP4] with internal IP: 192.168.10.5
The server has the eggdrop running and everything works fine EXCEPT when I try to DCC chat with the bot from my workstation. I have forwarded the correct DCC ports (and passive range) to the server and I have even tried putting the server in the DMZ (i.e. ALL incoming requests are directed to the server). Nothing seems to work.
I also run a software firewall but I have disabled that too trying to narrow down the problem/solution.
I use Klient on my workstation to connect to IRC and I think I have set the correct DCC settings there as well. I also tried mIRC just to eliminate the problem being with Klient but I got the same problem.
I've tried reading through many of the DCC problem posts here on this forum but I still can't solve this issue.
Now, some of you might think it's better to use telnet to administer the bot but I don't. It does work perfectly though.
Now I need your help in trying to solve this problem once and for all. I need someone who has the knowledge and a bit of time to spare to this thread and not just leave one reply to never return to it.
If you need more info (Klient settings, conf-stuff) just post and I'll give it.
Thanks very much in advance.
