<With addres you have to add the whole ip. With Adress you *cannot* use wildcards>

Uhm, using wildcards in the adress for a bot running on a server with dynamic ip (changin every 24 hours) works fine for me.

This has nothing to do with identifying the Bots nick to dalnet services. Dalnet Servers check for an ident reply on connection. You need to have an ident demon running on the Box your eggdrop is installed on. There are several available for *nix like oident e.g. . If you use a windrop, there is a d...

Topic: bots removing manually placed bans?

You either use dynamic bans, than the bots will remove any ban from the channels banlist or you don't use dynamic bans and the bans will stay untill they get removed by an op. If your network provides services like chanserv, you can try to set a ban using chanservs akick list instead of setting a ch...

If I understand you right, you can telnet the bot and set yourself as the master but it doesn't connect to your preferred network?
If so, than telnet into the bot and watch the output on the partyline.

<both enforce bans and dynamic bans are set to + gloably and for each channel in the conf file > Than the ban's should be removed after the specified time (in the conf). The bot will keep them in its internal banlist permanent. To set a temp ban, add the bantime. If the bot just kick but don't set a...

This ban will be in effect for every channel on the bot if no channel is supplied, and is stored with your nickname and comment. Prefixing a comment with @ w...

If there is a hub available, the bots will connect to the hup, if the hub isn't available, they'll connect to the first available alt-hub. If the hub comes back online (and isn't lagged to hell) it will take a few minutes untill the leafs will disconnect from the althub and reconnect to the hub. At ...

fgs. you really should read the manual CAREFULLY. As said before .help isn't a message but a dcc command. Try it without the dot if you message the bot and with a dot on the partyline.

I suppose it's just a lag or timing problem between your bots. usually after a few retries the transfer should be completet successfully.

beside the eggdrops I run from my shells, i also run 2 of them from a local server, connected via dsl and dynamic IP.
It works fine. All I did was adding the bots like that:

Botname!Ident@*.this.host:port

The asterix replaces the dynamic part of the hosmask (it's changin every 24 hours.)
